Holiday Management

• Purpose: Name of the holiday or special date

• Format: Text string

• Example: "New Year's Day", "Christmas", "Company Holiday"

• Usage: Displayed to users when booking is blocked

• Best Practice: Use clear, descriptive names

• Purpose: The specific date when bookings are blocked

• Format: YYYY-MM-DD

• Example: 2025-01-01 for New Year's Day

• Usage: Determines when bookings are prevented

• Timezone: Based on system default timezone

• Purpose: Whether the holiday repeats annually

• Options:

• Yes (Annual): Holiday repeats every year on the same date

• No (One-time): Holiday only applies to the specific year

• Examples:

• Annual: Christmas (December 25th every year)

• One-time: Company retreat (specific date only)

Holiday Impact

• Recurring holidays: Block bookings on the same date every year

• One-time holidays: Block bookings only for the specific date and year

• Automatic blocking: New bookings are prevented on holiday dates

• Timezone aware: Based on your system's default timezone

• Existing bookings: Won't be cancelled by adding holidays

• System user control: Can override holiday restrictions

• Guest bookings: Will be blocked on holiday dates

• Notification: Users see holiday message when booking
